It’s no secret that the right STILL hasn’t figured out how to effectively use the internets, so it comes as no surprise that the Grand Poobah of right wing radio talkies, Rush Limbaugh, has made a complete fool of himself by using a 12 year old essay by a 10th grader to attack Democratic presidential candidate, Senator Barack Obama.
I’m reminded of the words of Daniel Patrick Moynihan: “Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Not everyone is entitled to their own facts”.
I suggest to you that the reason talk radio is so popular is that it’s a fact free environment that devoted listeners take as The Gospel.
American Idol is to Popular Music, as Rush Limbaugh is to News.
