Well, since I see more and more of you coming to this page to check out who we are, I guess I should oblige you.

Hi, I’m Nine, and I used to be a Republican and a Catholic. Now I’m an American. LOC isn’t so much of a statement about my political leanings as it is about how much of a wierdo I can be. I’m a kid who got bit by the radio bug at the age of 10, and actually achieved my dream of being a radio personality. I also got in a lot of trouble over the years for having (and this is a technical term) a personality. I came into radio when it was changing, and I was an anachronism from day one. I lasted for a few years, and then disillusionment cured me of ever wanting to work for another terrestrial radio station ever again.

I have been doing online radio since 1995. Partly because I can do my own thing, partly because there’s no clock, and partly because you can say fuck on the internet. When the mood hits me, I can do one of several different shows, but the most popular are The American Smartass, my comedy show, and The Dashcast, my impromptu rants. Following almost imperceptibly behind that is Blaque Of The Night, a show of monologues and tortured artiste stuff, with thematically chosen songs to fit. That one doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it’s some of my best work. Almost more sparingly, DJ S1ngular1ty comes along and does a longform dance mix.

That’s the audio portion of the site. On occasion we have some videos that we do here, and various characters from my neck of the woods come along and post whatever they feel like in a feed we made for them. That feed is for you too, though. It’s the FreakFeed, and all you have to do is register to post there.

We do humor and rants and such here, but I’m also a news and tech junkie. Recently, I added a news feed that update throughout the day from my favorite places. Original content is still a prime focus for us, however, and we do post quite a bit of that as we’re able.

Politically, I’m neither Republican or Democrat. I lean more towards a Libertarian viewpoint, but frankly, I just wish folks would just leave each other alone about it. I’ve become disgusted by the whole thing, and I’ll be calling out both sides as I see them.
