America the Beautiful

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Okay, now that the hoopla and hype is over. Maybe we can get back to the business at hand of keeping our Nation strong in the World. Folks like many of you, I am very glad that the last bit of Glass ceiling has been broken in this our world. Their now is no more excuses for people to claim that ‘The Man’ is keeping me down. Not when the Man is truly an American (allow me to define this). By being an American it does not mean that one needs to wear a lapel of an American flag on his jacket, that one has to be one specific skin color and/ religious belief. An American is someone who was born in this country or in one of her many territories, one who believes in the concepts of Freedom and Liberty ( I know President-Elect Obamas stances are somewhat biased on some of those concepts).

We proved last night that once again, someone from a modest back ground in this case a single parent home, raised by his grandparents, went to some major universities on scholarships, worked hard and saved his money. Then ran for office not just the highest office of the land, but first as a city councilman, a civics leader then Senator and now President can win. Now some of you who know me, know how I voted. My vote was based on many factors. I pray to the Divine for President-Elect Obama that he has a successful four (4) years as our President. I pray that he can do the things he thinks he can do.

Last night we did witness a Reaganesque win for the Democrats, I wish them well. Now that we have given them the Rope will they use it Rightly or will they hand themselves with it. Only the next four years will tell.

Who is to Blame!

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

<!– @page { size: 8.5in 11in; margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } –>

Here is one that in my opinion needs sending to every taxpayer and voter in America . It is a legitimate article by Charlie Reese formally with the Orlando Sentinel. It speaks for itself and it is true and to the point. I do think it worthy of forwarding on to others.

545 PEOPLE By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The president does.

You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist pro mises, it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red.

If the Marines are in IRAQ , it’s because they want them in IRAQ

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way. There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like ‘the economy,’ ‘inflation,’ or ‘politics’ that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses  provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Charlie Reese is a former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper.

What you do with this article now that you have read it is up to you, though you appear to have several choices.

1.  You can send this to everyone in your address book, and hope they do something about it. 2.  You can agree to vote against everyone that is currently in office, knowing that
the process will take several years.
3.  You can decide to run for office yourself and agree to do the job properly.
4.  Lastly, you can sit back and do nothing, or re-elect the current bunch.

YOU DECIDE, MAYBE SOMEONE WHO READS THIS WILL DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT !

This is an Outrage…

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

Okay, I am normally a level headed man when it comes to things like politics. I mean after all we know what a can of worms this really is with all the Politicing and stuff. However I know find that I cannot be so nice and calm about this. While searching and looking at some of the other Political Parties to see if any of them I would consider for the Office of the President of the United States I stumbled across something.

Did you all know that the Democratic National Party and the Republican National Party failed to meet the Deadline to Qualify for the General Election this year in the State of Texas. According to the Texas Election Code § 192.031 it requires that any Political Party must have its Nominations in 70days before the General Election (Specifically before 5pm that day.) Both Political Parties failed to meet that deadline. However amazingly both parties are still going to be on the Ballot for this years elections. Even the Texas Supreme Court in a Ruling about voting issues in a court ruling (In Re Francis, 186S.W. 3d 534 (TX 2006) at 542. The Law ‘does not allow political parties or candidates to ignore statutory deadlines . . .”

These parties knowling and deliberatly voilated the law. But are they going to be punished for it no they are not. Even when the Libertarian Party contacted the Texas Secretary of State on the issue they are still awaiting a reply to see if the State of Texas will abide by the Law. Below is the link to the Documentation acquired by the Libertarian Party through the Freedom of Infromation Act. (http://www.bobbarr2008.com/files/dqcertification.pdf).

Folks I don’t know about you, but I have had it with being lied to and having my intelligence insulted. But this, this takes the cake. Even the main stream press is not saying anything about this. We see nothing on ABC, NBC, CBS there is nothing on NPR or any other Talk Radio Show nor the papers that I can find. This is trully a sad day, when both political parties are espousing a change from the way things where done to a new and shinning era. This is truly a lie, neither party has the slightest intention to follow through on their promises.

It is time for a change, folks we must take a stand here and now. This mockery cannot go on, nor should it. The Republican and Democratic National Parties failed to meet the deadline, if other parties fail they are not given any chances or grace periods. Why should these two (2) parties be any different? What makes them so special! In the end in November someone will be sitting in 1600 Pennsylvania Ave would you like it to be the person who actually followed the Rules of Law and not someone who skated by them.

RedState: Fowler Fouls: Hurricane is God’s Favor to Democrats.

How is that any different than saying that Katrina was God’s judgment against New Orleans for a gay pride parade?

Looks like it was mined from the same vein of dumbass to me…

Getting Ready for the RNC Gig

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

While everyone is getting ready for the DNC Convention starting tomorrow, I’ve been getting things ready for Loon, Faux, and Quasi. They’re going to be piling in a car on Friday, and heading to St. Paul for us and blogging and covering as much of the RNC as they can.

6 LOC “Nothing Is Sacred” T-shirts for the trio, 2 each.
about 1000 business cards to pass out, and some fliers.
A new voice recorder for them, so everyone has a way to record audio
A video camera for YouTube insanity.

While we’re going to try to use our contacts in Denver to supply us with juicy tidbits this week, join us next week for the biggest leg of the LOC World Loonification Tour ever.

The Idiots Are Arriving In Denver

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

Just got this note from Loyal Freak Ithiaca:

Well just to let you know, the Freaks are now in town. Late last night I was asked by a Denverite citizen as I was on my way home. To intervene in a situation at the Paramount restaurant. Where a man showed up with a red bag, full of guns who was claiming he was going to kill Senator Obama. Fortunately said person was handled readily by DPD (Denver Police Dept) and yours truly managed to side step the issue. But still just to let you know, the Freaks are coming out of the wood work and more then usual.

But, you know, the homeless are getting free haircuts.  So…

Time to hold conservative Democrats accountable | Salon.

Glen Greenwald wants to hold up the Conservative Blue Dog Democrats accountable for the failings of the Democratic Party since the 2006 elections. Getting rid of the Blue Dogs will give the Progressives the representation they THOUGHT they were getting. I disagree.

The problem with the Democrats in Congress is simply this: Pelosi, Hoyer and Reid will not allow the Democrats to put themselves in a situation where Republicans can label them as unpatriotic, unamerican, and uncaring. For two years, the GOP has been able to successfully play that game, and send the Leadership running with it’s tail between it’s legs.

If they’d grow a pair, they’d be well above 9% approval, I guarantee that.

Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama speaks to supporters as Senator Jim Webb, D-Va, looks on during a rally at Nissan Pavilion June 05, 2008 in Bristow, Virginia. Fallen White House contender Hillary Clinton promised to throw the full weight of her formidable support behind Obama as she prepared formally to quit the race. AFP PHOTO/Mandel NGAN (Photo credit should read MANDEL NGAN/AFP/Getty Images)As they look to the fall election, Democrats face a strategic decision that has bedeviled their party for 40 years: How hard should they fight in the South?
