LOC At The GOP: Update

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

As it stands right now, we are going to have three correspondents at the GOP Convention in St. Paul. LoonRadio, FauxPseudo, and QuasiPsyco. Faux would like you to know the following: he is going to be looking for Lake Wobegon, and that someone should have bail money ready.

The plan is to cover not only the goings on of the convention itself, but the goings on outside the center. Being the Republican Convention, we’re positive there will be plenty of action outside as well. Overall, we plan to have a lot of fun at the expense of politics, protesters, and St. Paul in general. Without getting arrested, we hope.

OK, I hope they don’t get arrested. You never can tell with Faux…

I really have to credit Loon for this, because none of this would be even possible without him. I owe him a great deal of thanks for even having the idea. I see this as the beginnings of great things, and the start of a direction I had never thought of prior to this year. If this works out well, we’ll be planning some other things.

However, we do need your assistance, to help offset their travel expenses. If you’d be so kind, we’d appreciate any small donation you could make to help Loon, Faux and Quasi. No, it’s not for bail money. As I’m sure you know, gas prices are a bit higher than they used to be, and while we’re going to do this, any assistance will be greatly appreciated. I’ll post our paypal link over in the sidebar as well, and as always, thank you for your…custom

GOP: Obama’s Not One Of Us. Damn Right.

Sunday, July 20th, 2008

As Obama makes this trip through Kuwait, Agfhanistan, Iraq, and ending up making a major speech in Berlin, the GOP are going to take every opportunity to harp on what they’ve been harping on for the better part of a year.

Fact: Obama is pretty well liked across the pond

Fact: Obama and Maliki are sympatico

The blogtards, and viral weasels that are sympathetic to the GOP will step up the B. Hussein Obama nonsense, which ought to be an insult to any clear thinking person. Of course, the people behind this trash don’t want clear headed people. They want stupid people that will believe that Obama is a Muslim, is Anti-White, and is not proud to be American. At least, enough stupid people to swing the vote to McCain. After that, they could really give a flip.

It’s a kinder, gentler Swift Boating, if you prefer. To draw the comparison, it’s like the attempts to portray John Kerry as sympathetic to the French, at a time when we really didn’t care for the French all that much. Although, to be frank, I think most people wold have rejected Kerry out of hand because he’s a p***y. Forget Purple Hearts and French Ancestors. He’s a wanker. Why didn’t we just go THERE?

Instead, the GOP just want you to know that you shouldn’t vote for Obama because “He ain’t one of US.”

Got it in one. He isn’t one of you. That’s why I’m voting for him.

McCain Burdened By Unpopular Republican Governors

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

An unpopular senator, governor, or congressman can impose a significant burden for a presidential candidate of the same party. For John McCain, that scenario could be a reality: a number of unpopular Republican governors are making it very difficult for McCain in their home states, despite the fact that they represent typically red constituencies.
