The one and only time I ever tried to do anything with Windows was back around 2000. I TOTALLY screwed up my PC, and ended up reinstalling windows 98 on my PC, and said the hell with it.
Therein lies my main problem with Linux. It may be more innovative, there may be distributions of Linux for your niche (for example, there’s one out there somewhere that specifically was for folks like me that do a lot of Audio Production), and it may be full of that open source goodness that real tech guys and geeks love.
By all reports, it’s the motherlode. The better mousetrap. But Joe Schmuckatelli doesn’t KNOW that! Because Joe Schmuckatelli may not even know he has a third option! Additionally, even if he knows that he has a third option, is it easier today to install on a PC than back in 2000?
Prove it! Where are the “I’m a Linux Box” ads? It’s way past time for Linux Geeks to stop talking about how wowsers Linux is, and start SHOWING folks.
