Who’s Sanjay Gupta? Don’t Ask Savage.

Posted by admin On January - 6 - 2009

In talking about the possible appointment of Sanjay Gupta for Surgeon General, it became abundantly clear that Dr. Savage hasn’t got the slightest idea who Sanjay Gupta IS, other than a talking head on TV.

Hey Mike, lay off whatever plant you found that makes you that stupid, and try reading his bio.

At least Malkin got it right, sort of. She’s still having trouble with the talking head bit, but at least she took the time to post a biography, and recognize that he’s made a contribution to keeping some of our soldiers in combat alive:

In 2003, Gupta traveled to Iraq to cover the medical aspects of 2003 invasion of Iraq. While in Iraq, Gupta performed emergency surgery on both U.S. soldiers and Iraqi civilians. Gupta was embedded with a Marine medical unit at the time. A Marine named Jesus Vidana suffered a severe head injury and the Marines asked for Gupta’s assistance because of his background in neurosurgery. Vidana survived and was sent back to the United States for rehabilitation

A larger point to make, and one that I have yet to actually see, is why we have a Surgeon General in the first place. Koop was a nutjob, Elders was…well, she was beyond nutjob, and the guy in the position was appointed as a recess appointment in October 2007. He wasn’t ever confirmed? We never had so much as a bad masturbation joke about the guy!

Frankly, Change (to me, at least), would go a long way if you axed positions like this that are clearly not needed.

Richard The Slimy Sends Frantic Plea

Posted by admin On January - 5 - 2009

Via the Drudge Report, a lovely note from Richard The Slimy:

AL FRANKEN STEALING SENATE SEAT, STOP HIM

Dear Friend,

The Democrats are on the verge of seating Al Franken as the next U.S. Senator from Minnesota.

This is simply an outrage!

On Election Day, Republican Norm Coleman was ahead by hundreds of votes.

Since then, Franken and liberal allies like George Soros have raised millions to wage a legal fight contesting every Coleman ballot.

With the help of the Democratic Sec. of State in Minnesota, the “recount” has gone wildly in Franken’s favor.

With claims of outright vote fraud, double voting — they are even rejecting military ballots cast by our servicemen overseas to help Franken — Franken now claims a lead.

He must be stopped. He can be stopped.

The Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) is the nation’s leading Republican group fighting for a fair vote in Minnesota.

This is the same group that exposed ACORN and is led by a distinguished advisory board, including former attorney general Ed Meese and former solicitor general Ted Olson.

They desperately need to raise funds as the Minnesota recount comes down to the wire.

Please help them today by donating now — Go Here Now

https://www.newsmaxstore.com/contribute/rnla/?promo_code=76E5-1

Also, read their urgent message below.

Yours,

Dick Morris

A Question, Dick…

Why does the link to the NewsMax Store have a promo code? It takes me to the same place if I strip the Promo Code out, of course. I’m just wondering why you would use a Promo Code here. Simple Conversion Tracking, perhaps? Why would that be of any interest, I wonder? Why would it be useful to know that you have a higher conversion rate for fund raising for the RNLA then, say, David Limbaugh?

Oh, wait, I got it:

Special $20 Bonus: Make a donation to the “Republican National Lawyers Association” and Newsmax will send you a free 4-month subscription to Newsmax magazine, a $20 value. If you like Newsmax, you don’t have to do anything — we’ll automatically renew your subscription. There is no risk as you may cancel at any time for a refund on all unused copies. Available to new subscribers only.

Why Richard, you rapscallion! Anyone that donates is going to get a trial subscription to NewsMax, which will automatically renew! Richard, do you get a commission for that?

You know, you should really disclose that kind of thing while you’re hitting all the little bullet points, STEALING ELECTION, GEORGE SOROS, you’regonnabuysomething, ELECTION FRAUD, CONSERVATIVE VALUES, igetacommissionfromthis, DONATE NOW TO PROTECT YOUR FREEDOM!

I mean, a buck is a buck, but c’mon! You’re single handedly causing a depletion in the world’s supply of snake oil.
